Republican Failure

Really? This is the best you can do on a health care bill? President Trump said he was “disappointed”. I’m not sure the word disappointed was what he really thinking. But what the Senate Republicans showed today was they were the epitome of incompetence – coming out to a microphone and repeating the same old “we need to do this” and “we need to do that” but we got nothing accomplished. We have heard this crap before ladies and gentlemen of the Senate -- now is the time to get your “you know what” together and give the American people a good health care bill. You know what needs to get done – just do it.

CNN Breaking News - The Russians are Coming!!!!

CNN Breaking News….. “Sources” have told CNN that there were additional Russian officials in the meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and the Russian Government Lawyer wanting to discuss the Russian adoption issues with the American Government. These two additional Russians, “sources” say, are nefarious people of evil intent to our way of life and again, “sources” say, have colluded with representatives of President Trump. “Sources” report the names of these evil Russians are Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale. CNN has very little information on these Russian individuals but wanted the American public to know about this additional collusion Trump officials had with Russia. CNN Breaking News…..Correction. Sorry, after minimal fact checking, it appears Boris Badenov and Natsha Fatale are cartoon characters from a 1960’s TV show called “The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show”. Our “sources” could not confirm, however, CNN can only take comfort in that not many of you saw our Fake News report as our Prime Time ratings are now below a network that features 50 year old sitcom reruns about a talking horse. Our apologies to “moose and squirrel” and to Bamboo Harvester, who played Mister Ed.

They Make Money The Old Fashioned Way - They EARN It!

That’s a picture of John Houseman. He was an actor best known for his role in the movie and subsequent TV Show, The Paper Chase as the crotchety old, yet wise, Professor Kingsfield for those of you old enough to remember. But he was also known for his commercial for the investment firm of Smith Barney, where the commercial always ended with “They make money the old fashioned way, They EARN It. That got me to thinking about Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan. Perhaps we could take a cue from Mr. Houseman’s commercial, and change Donald Trump’s campaign slogan to “It’s Time to Roll Up Your Sleeves and Get to Work” -- because that is the ONLY thing that is going to save America – Hard Work. That’s not to say that we don’t have hard working Americans getting up and going out to work each day. But when we are told by the Bernie Saunders and Hillary Clinton’s of the world that our economic suffering is some rich fat cat’s fault and the government needs to confiscate and redistribute their wealth by taxing the rich people – then why work? “When you spread the wealth around it benefits everybody” as our current President has said only works when there IS wealth to spread around. Someone has to roll up their sleeves and EARN the wealth. There has to be an incentive to go out, work hard, and with the knowledge that you have a government that lets you keep the majority of what you earn. Short of that, we can all live in poverty equally.

Disrespecting Hillary

Hillary has now taken direct aim at Donald Trump. It seems she feels he doesn’t respect women. In a recent report from CNN, it states Hillary mocked Donald Trump’s claims that he would be a champion for women's rights, including his oft-repeated vow that he "cherishes" women. Clinton went on to say "If it's all the same to you, Mr. Trump, I would rather you stop cherishing women and start respecting women." Hillary Clinton should know full well what it means to be disrespected by a man. As someone who remembers the 90s, the then first lady, Mrs. Clinton, probably would have wished her husband had cherished her a little more than he did while he was serving in the Oval Office.

Unfit to Lead

There is a creed the American military lives by, which is “No man left behind”. Anyone who doesn’t believe and fully support that creed has no business being in charge of America’s military personnel. Yet, we have someone running for President who thinks it’s just fine to leave four Americans behind to be slaughtered by Al Qaida supported terrorist in Benghazi, even after they were crying out for help from their country. That person, Hillary Clinton denied help to these Americans in trouble as it was not ‘politically’ advantageous to her then boss, Barack Obama who was out on the campaign stump shouting that he had Al Qaida “on the run”. Clinton was more than willing leave Americans hung out to die if helping them meant it might cost her boss a few votes in the Presidential election of 2012. To further demonstrate her contempt for the American military, she supported a made up story that what happened in Benghazi was due to a You Tube video – a fable that was shortly discredited when the facts came out that Clinton and Obama knew the night of the Benghazi attack that is was in fact a planned terror attack. And Hillary Clinton feels she has the credentials to be Commander and Chief of our armed forces? Well, the Old NCO feels differently as she is quite simply, UNFIT TO LEAD.

Can anyone Trump Trump?

Donald Trump is sucking all of the air out of the room. What I mean by that is he continually grabbing headlines and the complete attention of the press corp. And there is a one person that is hugely benefiting from Trump’s ‘shoot from the hip talk’ – and that is Hillary Clinton. As long as Trump is grabbing the headlines, she doesn’t have to worry about questions about Benghazi, destroying emails, white water, and every other scandal in her resume. Instead of criticizing Donald Trump, she should be sending him a thank you letter. Perhaps Mr. Trump would serve his presidential bid better if he turned his sights on Ms. Clinton and her shortcomings to being President.
